Our client is seeking a Head of Pricing to lead commercial auto actuarial pricing strategy, execution, and team management for a significant line of business. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to drive profitability, shape pricing models, and lead a team through the transformation of one of the most strategically important insurance products within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the rollout, monitoring, and enhancement of a new proprietary commercial auto pricing model, partnering with internal data science resources and ensuring successful deployment across all states.
- Manage and mentor a team of actuarial analysts, oversee pricing indications, profitability monitoring, rate filings, and ongoing product improvements.
- Serve as a collaborative thought leader across actuarial, underwriting, and product teams, contributing to broader business goals, cross-functional initiatives, and the refinement of actuarial processes and tools.
Qualifications:
- ACAS or FCAS designation required, with at least five years of actuarial experience and two years in Commercial Auto pricing; ten or more years preferred.
- Proven experience managing a pricing team or leading a line of business, preferably in ISO-based or small commercial environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with proficiency in tools such as SQL, R, and VBA; ability to interpret model results and collaborate with data science professionals.
