Job Description:

We Are Seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst contractor to support business analysis activities for technology projects and initiatives. This role will assist in gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements while collaborating closely with stakeholders and technical teams. The Business Analyst will help ensure that business needs are clearly translated into technical requirements and user stories that support effective solution development. The position requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to support sound technology decisions and optimize business processes. This is a temporary contract role providing dedicated business analysis support for defined projects.

Responsibilities:

·         Collaborate with project sponsors and stakeholders to define project scope, vision, and objectives.

·         Identify project stakeholders and establish user classes and characteristics.

·         Gather and document business and user requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, use cases, and workflow analysis.

·         Create and maintain user stories and requirements documentation for development teams.

·         Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.

·         Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

·         Work with stakeholders and project teams to prioritize and manage requirements.

·         Develop process models, diagrams, and documentation to guide development teams.

·         Analyze and validate requirements for completeness, accuracy, and feasibility.

·         Track requirements throughout the project lifecycle and manage changes as needed.

·         Communicate updates, enhancements, and requirement changes to project managers and stakeholders.

·         Support the evaluation and improvement of requirements gathering processes.

·         Assist with research and evaluation of software or technology solutions that meet business needs.

·         Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure implemented solutions meet functional requirements.

·         Develop and maintain documentation to support knowledge transfer and project continuity.

·         Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery.

Required Skills:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         4+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role.

·         Experience gathering and documenting technical requirements and user stories.

·         Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

·         Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, and validation.

·         Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts.

·         Ability to create process models, diagrams, and technical documentation.

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language.

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet project deadlines.

·         Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills

·         Experience working with requirements documentation tools and project management software.

·         Experience developing prototypes or interface concepts based on user requirements.

·         Familiarity with software or hardware solution evaluation and procurement support.

·         Experience participating in quality assurance and testing activities.

·         Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service orientation.
