We are looking for an experienced Survey Project Manager with a Massachusetts PLS to join our growing operations. We welcome applicants with active PLS licenses in MA, NH, RI, or ME—or LSITs actively pursuing licensure. This position is fully remote with some travel a few times per year. The Survey Project Manager will supervise multiple teams of technical staff, provides a professional review of work products; helps manage office and field workload under the direction of the Regional Operations Manager, and supports the survey department by maintaining projects on schedule and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide all types of survey research, computations, review of computer-aided survey drafting of topographic maps and plats, written descriptions of land for deeds, leases, and other legal documents in accordance with local, state, federal, and project requirements.
  • Review projects, performs quality assurance, reports progress through completion of each project assigned by the Regional Operations Manager.
  • Assist in scheduling field crews and oversight of field procedures and survey vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to perform business development, prepares proposals, and client presentations.
  • Coordinate with clients, office staff, and field crews to attain company objectives and goals.
  • Provide technical expertise and work with survey staff to establish and maintain procedures and quality standards.
  • Responsible for scheduling, performance, and management of multiple survey projects and personnel.
  • Monitor and forecast survey workload, staffing, and budgeting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Massachusetts PLS - We welcome applicants with active PLS licenses in MA, NH, RI, or ME—or LSITs actively pursuing licensure.
  • 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager
  • Requires advanced knowledge of local survey laws, surveying principles, techniques and procedures, occupational hazards, and safety precautions
  • Should possess intermediate to advanced skills in survey processing software. Should be proficient in survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
  • Advance knowledge of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations useful, but not required
