WWF-UK stands at a critical moment in the fight to restore nature and address climate change. As part of the world’s leading conservation organisation, we deliver real impact on the ground, from ending deforestation and protecting iconic landscapes like the Amazon and the Serengeti, to shaping UK policy on climate and biodiversity, and building a growing movement for environmental action.
We seek a new Chair of the Board to lead our Trustees as we deliver our most ambitious strategy. With our current Chair stepping down in 2026, this is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of one of the world’s most respected environmental organisations at a decisive time for our planet.
This role requires someone with a strong record of leadership in complex, high-profile settings and the presence to engage with confidence and credibility across government, business, civil society and the media. You will be an experienced board leader with a sound understanding of governance, the ability to build effective relationships, and a leadership style that earns trust and unites people around a shared vision.
At the heart of this appointment is a deep commitment to WWF’s mission: to create a world where people and nature thrive together. You will bring the time, energy, insight and passion needed to guide WWF-UK through a period of opportunity, responsibility and challenge.
This is a high-profile and high-impact role with national and international reach. We would be delighted to hear from you if you are ready to lead one of the UK’s most influential environmental charities into its next chapter.
