Summit Search Group is proud to partner with our client in the search for a skilled and dedicated Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic to join their growing service team in Winnipeg, MB.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, enjoys variety in their day, and values a team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will install, maintain, and repair a range of refrigeration, HVAC, and heating systems across commercial and industrial applications, ensuring reliable performance, safety, and efficiency for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Refrigeration Systems

• Service and maintain RACK refrigeration systems, from legacy Hill Dual Mates to modern technologies by Hill/Phoenix, Hussmann, and Emerson.
• Install, repair, and maintain self-contained units, ice machines, and deli and bakery equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and performance.

HVAC Systems

• Install, service, and maintain RTU (Rooftop Units), MUA (Make-Up Air) units, and ventilation systems from brands including Carrier, Lennox, and CaptiveAire.
• Conduct inspections and ensure HVAC systems are running efficiently in a variety of commercial settings.

Heating Systems

• Maintain and repair boiler systems, including in-slab and radiant heat systems used in car washes and similar environments.

Restaurant & Convenience Store Equipment

• Service and maintain all forms of restaurant and convenience store equipment to meet performance and safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic or 4th Level Apprentice.
• Licensed A or B Gas Fitter.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Prior experience with grocery store or large commercial refrigeration systems considered a strong asset.
• Mechanically inclined, proactive, and eager to learn new systems and technologies.
