The Field Service Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the direct
supervision, coordination, and success of the Field Service Technician team. This role will drive team performance, process optimization, customer satisfaction and on-site service delivery.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, 5 years of technical or engineering background with proven troubleshooting skills and must have 3-5 years of experience leading a team of direct reports.

Field Service Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of Field Service Technicians through direct supervision, performance monitoring, coaching, and feedback.
- Coordinate and optimize technician schedules, routes, and assignments to ensure efficiency and timely customer service.
- Manage the field service operations budget, driving performance to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Resolve escalated customer complaints and complex on-site issues with timely, effective solutions.
- Improve field service processes, streamline communication between in-house support and field teams, and maintain high-quality standards for on-site work.
- Serve as the key liaison between Service Support and field teams to identify recurring issues and drive continuous improvement in products and service delivery.
- Identify skill gaps and support the development and implementation of training programs for field technicians.
Field Service Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of technical or engineering experience with strong, proven troubleshooting skills.
- Solid familiarity with technical equipment, industrial machinery, or automated systems.
- 3–5 years of experience managing direct reports.
- Demonstrated success in leading high-performing service teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate across all levels of an organization.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and a data-driven approach to identifying trends and improving processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites and other locations up to 25% of the time.
