Our client is a respected, plaintiff-focused personal injury trial practice with a strong record of success representing individuals hurt by the negligence of others. The team combines deep litigation experience with a compassionate, client-centric approach and is looking to add an experienced paralegal who can own cases from suit filing through trial.



Role Overview


The Litigation Paralegal will manage a robust docket of plaintiff personal-injury matters, supporting attorneys throughout discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial. This is a hands-on position requiring excellent organization, deadline management, and client communication skills.


Key Responsibilities


  • Case Management: Oversee all phases of litigation, including case initiation, discovery, pre-trial, and trial support.
  • Drafting & Filing: Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence; e-file in state and federal courts.
  • Scheduling & Deadlines: Track court dates and litigation milestones; coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial logistics.
  • Client & Third-Party Communication: Provide empathetic updates to clients; interact professionally with opposing counsel, medical providers, and court staff.
  • Trial Support: Attend trials as needed; organize exhibits, prep witnesses, and manage courtroom logistics.
  • Compliance: Ensure all filings align with Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and local rules.


Qualifications


  • Experience: 5+ years as a litigation paralegal focused on plaintiff personal-injury matters.
  • Certification: Paralegal certificate required; Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and case-management software (FileVine preferred).
  • Knowledge: Strong grasp of legal terminology, discovery rules, and medical-record review; familiarity with catastrophic-injury cases is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional organization, detail orientation, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
