EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Our client is a cutting-edge manufacturer in the Aerospace and Defense Industry. They have extensive expertise in developing the next generation of integrated C4I, EW, and radar solutions for their customers.
The General Manager for the East Coast is responsible for performance, people, and process in both Baltimore, MD and Boston, MA (1 hour west) plants. The General Manager is accountable for the overall business and success of the two East Coast sites. The GM is a 'people leader' and culture champion. This person will have full responsibility to operate the business and will communicate with external stakeholders. Additional, they will influence internal operations and develop talent.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for overseeing and executing to the strategic direction of the East Coast businesses.
- Plan, develop and implement revenue growth strategies for the organization.
- Lead site sales initiatives to achieve booking objectives as outlined in the budget.
- Lead and execute site communication strategies.
- Create and manage budgets to ensure that the facility’s financial goals are met, including monthly profitability and EBITDA targets.
- Analyze financial data, such as a P&L, in order to drive strategic decision making, continuous improvement, and financial performance.
- Lead, motivate, and develop employee base, including implementation of the company’s values and behaviors to ensure a culture consistent with the company’s plan in order to achieve growth targets.
- Work with Human Resources to develop talent strategy for the organization to include goals and objectives, performance measures, career development, and succession planning.
- Coach and develop staff to build top performing teams; promote cross training to optimize workforce, ensure functional coverage, reduce labor costs, and support succession planning.
- Lead cross functional teams to achieve customer satisfaction through on-time delivery, performance, and maintaining quality standards for all departments.
- Lead the reporting of Variable Manufacturing Costs for the plant, along with associated analysis and commentary monthly.
- Visit and host customer meetings.
- Ensure that the company is compliant to all guidelines, policies, and standards.
- Ensure all environmental, health, and safety protocols are followed across the organization.
- Ensure policies and documentation are current.
- Ensure the facilities are compliant with customer audit requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities
include interviewing and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

- Experience with brazing, complex assembly, and CNC machining.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- BS degree in Engineering, Business, or related field desired.
- May be substituted with commensurate experience.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in aerospace and defense manufacturing.
COMPENSATION: Mid $200Ks OTE + Long Term Incentive package
