Head of Commercial / Sales Director

NYC-Based | $150K–$200K Base + Commission

(Title flexible based on experience)


AC Lion has been engaged by an early-stage media technology company building a next-generation platform for publishing and media organizations.


With strong early traction, our client is ready to scale commercial growth in a more structured way - and they’re hiring a senior sales leader to help define and drive that expansion.


The Role

This is more than a quota-carrying position. You will:

  • Own and execute the go-to-market strategy
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle (enterprise, consultative sales)
  • Build strategic partnerships across media and publishing
  • Shape pricing, packaging, and commercial positioning
  • Partner directly with founders on long-term growth strategy

You’ll play a central role in designing the sales function as the company scales in the U.S., UK, and beyond.


Ideal Background

  • 8+ years B2B sales experience in media, publishing, SaaS, or content tech
  • Proven success selling complex solutions to senior decision-makers
  • Experience in early-stage or scaling environments preferred
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial, and comfortable building from the ground up
