SUMMARY
The Associate Director, Global Partnerships Sales will play a critical role in new business development for the Orlando Magic, LTD and associated properties. This individual will be tasked with selling innovative and impactful partnerships helping brands connect with consumers through our sports properties and venue, the Kia Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strive to achieve company, department and personal goals and objectives, with personal goals ranging from high six figures into seven figures annually.
- Achieve sales goals through both new business of advertising/ branding, consumer marketing campaigns, digital marketing, community relations initiatives and hospitality opportunities.
- Create compelling sales narratives to engage top level executives and decision makers around the value of partnering with the Orlando Magic.
- Successfully identify prospective companies and progress the company through the complete sales cycle, including negotiating final contract terms.
- Ability to build partnerships with regional, national and international brands.
- Maintain a high level of communication and key updates in the company’s CRM system.
- Develop integrated partnerships that mutually elevate brand messaging and objectives.
- Have a sense of urgency and create problem solving programs for clients.
- Uphold high standards in communication and presentation.
- Understand core departmental selling philosophies.
- Develop an understanding of ROI strategies as it is related to clients’ unique business.
- Effectively manage and communicate client expectations and obligations to appropriate parties.
- Effectively transition account to Global Corporate Partnership Activation team to ensure fulfillment of client deliverables.
- Responsible for accounts receivable related to new partnership deals.
- Develop revenue for the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation’s annual events.
- Collaborate with affiliate properties – Orlando Solar Bears, Osceola Magic – to drive partnership revenue for all properties.
- Create engaging partnership presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Develop strong, long-term relationship with both clients and co-workers.
- Attend team and community events to establish and build client partnerships.
- Provide legendary service in a team-selling environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
- Minimum of 10 years of sponsorship sales experience preferred or relevant sales required.
- Experience in sponsorship sales at a sports property / league, sports & entertainment agency, or sports media property is required.
- Successful track record in selling seven-figure partnership / sponsorship agreements is required.
- Experience in digital content sales is preferred.
- Proven track record of reaching sales quotas and working in a fast-paced sales environment required.
- Experience developing marketing plans, promotions, presentations and proposals required.
- Experience in developing international partnership sales is preferred.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and other related computer skills required.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
- Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
- Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over.
- Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
- Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.
