SUMMARY

 

Delaware North is hiring a Vice President, Business Development Sportservice to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As the Vice President of Business Development Sportservice, you will be responsible for implementing business unit strategies and action plans to support planned growth and acquisitions that add strength and positioning of the Delaware North portfolio. This role is remote eligible and has the need for extensive travel to our Sportservice units.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Drive to an effective close and negotiation of contract resulting in business growth.
  • Facilitate the business development process to optimize the allocation of human resource efforts, effective processes, and systems.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to plan and coordinate location openings and renovations to ensure quality implementation and effective return-on-investment.
  • Deliver an established minimum percent of new business, retention of existing contracts, and ascertaining portion of sales funnel.
  • Refine and enhance business development processes and tools to improve efficiency.
  • Assists with the development of partnership strategies to engrain local and national networks to support growth strategy.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development in the contract services industry, in a leadership capacity; hospitality experience highly desired.
  • 5+ years of experience developing RFP’s or other new business development documents.
  • Deep understanding of sales and marketing, operations, and client profiles.
  • Demonstrate strong sales, speaking, writing, presentation, and relationship management skills.


Ability to travel extensively (up to 50%).
