Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer to join this close-knit team. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to serving families during their most difficult times.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with families to plan and coordinate funeral, memorial, and graveside services.
• Prepare and embalm the deceased according to state laws and professional standards.
• Arrange transportation, visitation, and service logistics.
• Manage necessary permits, certificates, and documentation.
• Assist with cosmetic preparation, dressing, and casketing.
• Support families with compassionate communication and guidance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours removals as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa Funeral Director and Embalmer license (or ability to reciprocate).
• 1–3 years of experience preferred, but newly licensed professionals are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Dedication to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, family-run environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $50,000–$75,000
