About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Draftsperson with a strong background in Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) and a familiarity with FMG (Fortescue Metals Group) standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise across Building Services, Industrial Design, Land Development, Local Government, and the Resources Sector. This role will involve creating detailed and accurate technical drawings and plans in alignment with project specifications, client requirements, and Australian Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting & Documentation: Produce accurate, high-quality, and compliant design documentation for projects, adhering to FMG standards where required.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to interpret specifications and produce compliant design solutions.
• Compliance: Ensure all design work aligns with relevant Australian Standards and codes of practice, specifically within the resources and industrial sectors.
• Review & Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to ensure accuracy and alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
• Design Adjustments: Update and adjust designs as project specifications evolve, providing timely and precise documentation adjustments as needed.
• Project Coordination: Assist with coordinating design efforts within multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring efficient workflows and communication.
• Innovation: Implement best practices and continuously seek opportunities to optimize design workflows and efficiencies.

Key Requirements:

• Qualifications:
• Diploma in Drafting, Engineering Design, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not essential.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in drafting with specific exposure to NPI projects.
• Proven experience working with FMG standards, especially in Non-Process Infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience across Building Services, Industrial, Land Development, Local Government, and Resources Sector projects.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and an understanding of compliance requirements for various sectors.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of FMG project-specific drafting protocols.
• Experience with 3D design software and digital modeling tools.
• Exposure to environmental considerations in design, especially within the resources and industrial sectors.
