Our client, a leading name in the elevator industry, is seeking a Hydraulic (Hydro) Elevator Modernization Sales Representative to join their team. This individual will be responsible for managing customer accounts, generating new sales opportunities, delivering compelling presentations, and negotiating contracts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of elevator systems, specifically hydraulic elevators, and a proven track record in sales, project management, and customer service. Candidates may be based in either the Raleigh or Greensboro area.



Responsibilities


Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and target potential clients for hydraulic elevator modernization projects, including commercial and residential buildings, property managers, and architects.
  • Generate leads and cultivate relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations, highlighting the benefits of elevator modernization.
  • Provide detailed quotes and proposals to prospective clients, ensuring pricing is competitive and meets customer needs.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to close sales.


Technical Consultation:

  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing hydraulic elevator systems and recommend the most effective modernization solutions.
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to develop tailored modernization plans.
  • Provide customers with expert advice on improving elevator performance, safety, energy efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations.


Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow up with clients after project completion to ensure continued satisfaction and gather feedback for future improvements.


Market Intelligence:

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes related to hydraulic elevators and elevator modernization.
  • Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams on customer preferences, challenges, and new business opportunities.


Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project milestones in the company’s CRM system.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in elevator sales, specifically in modernization, or in a related technical sales field.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic elevator systems and modernization technologies is preferred
  • Proven ability to sell complex technical solutions to decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop technical proposals and collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites for assessments and meetings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
