Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Superintendent to help oversee daily operations on construction job sites
  • Coordinate subcontractors in line with design, schedule, and safety program
  • Monitor safety, compliance, and quality regulations
  • Maintain clear and ongoing communication with clients, project management, and public/building occupants


Education & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer or Project Engineer for a Commercial General Contractor in Commercial, Life Sciences, Office, Medical, Healthcare or Pharma construction


Technical & Language Skills

  • Competency in reading/interpreting building plans, schedules, product specs, and regulatory documents (e.g. permits, EPA, zoning, fire marshal)
  • Skilled in writing reports and business correspondence
  • Able to present and respond effectively to clients, managers, and stakeholders


Physical Demands:

  • Regular requirements: talking, hearing, visual observation, moving around job site
  • Frequent: standing, walking, sitting, climbing, working from heights
  • Lifting: up to 50 lbs independently, heavier with assistance
  • Capable of using stairs, ladders, operating forklifts, and using tools (e.g. chipping hammer, power tools)
  • Vision: close vision for screens/documents; distance vision for machinery operations and observing site activities


Work Environment:

  • Majority of time spent on-site in environments with varying temperatures, changes in elevation, dusty or dirty conditions, loud sounds (>85 dB)
  • Schedule flexibility might be required: early mornings, weekends, and night shifts if needed
