About the Role

As a Construction Estimator, you’ll play a key role in the preconstruction process—analyzing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate and competitive estimates. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure estimates are complete, transparent, and aligned with client goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and proposals for commercial construction projects
• Review plans and specifications to identify scope, risk, and opportunities for value engineering
• Solicit, analyze, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Collaborate with the preconstruction and project management teams to ensure alignment from concept through completion
• Maintain historical cost data and assist in budgeting and forecasting efforts
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating tools, templates, and processes

Qualifications

• 3–20 years of experience in construction estimating (commercial experience strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and materials
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
