Thomas Professional are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on a Quality Test Technician in Rumney Cardiff.
Shift Pattern - 3 Shift - Monday to Friday
Week 1: 6.00am – 2.00pm
Week 2: 2.00pm to 10.00pm
Week 3: 10.00pm to 6.00am
Shift allowance is 10% for afternoon shifts, and 30% for nights.
The successful candidate will be part of a team that ensures all manufactured products meet a high level of quality inline with customer expectation.
Quality Test Technician Benefits:

Quality Test Technician Duties:
- Responsible for testing and analysing manufactured product in controlled laboratory conditions, confirming that the product delivers against specification.
- Responsible for testing core materials, ensuring they meet correct specification.
- Input all test results in the format required, ensure all documentation is kept up to date in an orderly manner.
- Identify trends and highlight suggestions for improvement
- Measure and document incoming materials
- FG yard audits
- Assist with and prepare operational KPI data for analysis
- Monitor testing equipment performance to ensure process stability and control
- Be an important influence in product and process development trials
- Manage the laboratory keeping the workplace to a high standard
- Able to highlight any quality issues to management in a timely manner
- Support the Process Conformance Engineer with project work
- Satisfy the business’ Factory Production Control requirements against all standards
- Any other reasonable tasks assigned by your manager
Quality Test Technician Essential Experience:
- Experience within a similar Quality position within a Production, Manufacturing or Engineering environment
- Strong mathematical, analytical and technical skills
- Experience of interpreting test data and material behaviours
- Can work diligently against standard operating procedures
- Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively
- Knowledge of statistical packages and Microsoft Office systems normally required
