Role: VP of Marketing

Location: Remote

Our client is a fast-growing, profitable telehealth platform operating a portfolio of consumer healthcare brands is seeking a VP of Marketing to lead its next phase of growth. The business is licensed nationwide and serves a large, active customer base across multiple verticals within digital health.

The company has already established strong demand and a highly effective paid acquisition engine. It is now at an inflection point—focused on evolving beyond paid-led growth toward a more diversified, durable marketing function. This includes strengthening retention and lifecycle performance, expanding acquisition channels, and building more cohesive product, brand, and customer experiences.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a marketing operator who can balance strategic ownership with hands-on execution in a resource-conscious, regulated environment. The role will shape how marketing contributes to long-term value creation across a multi-brand ecosystem.

Position Overview:

The VP of Marketing will own and evolve the end-to-end marketing function across a portfolio of consumer healthcare brands. The immediate priority is improving retention and lifecycle performance—particularly in areas where long-term engagement is critical to the business model.

Beyond retention, this leader will drive channel diversification, elevate website and brand experience, and establish stronger functional leadership across growth disciplines including SEO, lifecycle, and product/brand marketing.

The role includes managing and developing an existing team spanning performance marketing, organic/SEO, and lifecycle retention, while also identifying opportunities to strengthen capabilities, processes, and organizational structure over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall marketing function across a multi-brand consumer healthcare platform
  • Drive retention and lifecycle strategy, improving engagement, repeat usage, and long-term customer value
  • Partner with leadership to diversify acquisition beyond a primarily paid-driven motion
  • Elevate website experience, messaging, creative quality, and brand perception
  • Oversee and develop teams across performance marketing, SEO/organic, and lifecycle retention
  • Build and strengthen capabilities in product marketing, brand, and reputation management
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and finance to align marketing investment with CAC, LTV, and payback targets
  • Establish stronger QA and approval processes across marketing copy, claims, creative, and web experience in a regulated environment
  • Assess team structure and drive hiring, coaching, and organizational improvements as needed

Qualifications:

Significant experience in growth, marketing, or lifecycle leadership within telehealth, digital health, or consumer healthcare

  • Strong depth in retention and lifecycle marketing, with a track record of improving engagement, monetization, and customer value over time
  • Broader exposure across growth functions such as paid acquisition, product marketing, brand, partnerships, SEO, organic, or conversion strategy
  • Experience leading teams and operating across multiple marketing workstreams, not just a single channel
  • Strong business judgment and comfort working closely with finance on budget allocation, efficiency, and return on spend
  • Ability to operate strategically while still stepping into the details when needed
  • Strong founder compatibility and comfort in a fast-moving, evolving, startup environment
  • Experience in a regulated, trust-sensitive, or compliance-conscious category is highly valuable

Ideal Profile:

This could be a strong existing VP of Marketing in a startup or growth-stage business, or a highly capable senior director/head-of leader stepping into a broader VP-level mandate. The strongest candidates will bring a clear spike in retention and lifecycle, but enough range across adjacent marketing functions to lead a broader organization.
