Our client is a rapidly growing, middle-market industrial services business that is PE-owned. They are seeking to hire a Director of FP&A who will play a pivotal role in growing the company, both organically as well as through acquisitions, streamlining internal operations, and preparing the company for a future strategic exit.
The Director of FP&A will support the development and continuation of strategies that drive financial results and create enterprise value. The Director of FP&A will be expected to be a transformative and engaged leader, providing leadership and judgment in identifying, evaluating, and supporting value-creation initiatives. This person must have experience working for a PE-backed value creation environment and be able to demonstrate driving financial success and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities:
- Meticulously optimize financial reporting systems
- Collaborate with private equity sponsors for exit strategy development and engage effectively with potential buyers or investors
- Regularly update the Value Creation Plan and lead the finance team through heightened due diligence
- Strengthen the Company’s FP&A function to elevate the commercial and operational value
- Oversee all treasury operations, incl. cash management, borrowings, risk management, and bank relations
- Manage an efficient financial structure that allows for best-in-class reporting, business intelligence, data analysis, accounting systems, processes, and control systems commensurate with being a PE-backed business
- Direct responsibility for accounting, treasury, audit, forecasting, strategic planning, legal, M&A and institutional financing
- Lead the IT organization, developing and overseeing the execution of the Company’s IT strategy
- With the company’s debt being publicly traded, this person will lead the strategy for effectively managing cash and keeping the business well-capitalized
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field
- MBA preferred, not required
- CPA license preferred, not required
- Transaction Advisory services or investment banking experience
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A
- Background working for Private Equity-backed companies
- A proven track record of influencing outcomes positively
- Strong strategic financial leadership
- Ability to adapt to changes swiftly, and maintain resilience under the pressures of the exit landscape
- Prepare and maintain regular financial reports, and oversee the preparation of financial statements and all month/year-end closing activities, including external audits
- Ensure the timely closing of monthly financials
