This role will own and/or support quarterly portfolio company valuations and reporting, benchmarking, and related strategic data and technology initiatives for private equity and credit positions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own & enhance cross-fund, multi-currency Excel models to calculate private company equity and credit fair values.
- Roll forward models quarterly, review comparables changes, assess DCF assumptions, and recommend changes.
- Populate quarterly and ad hoc internal and external data requests, including applicable investor data requests.
- Support the annual fund audits and any regulatory audits, as well as potential assurance engagements.
- Backtest valuations at exit vs. prior periods to identify methodological opportunities for further precision.
- Develop relationships with Deal Senior/Associates, IR, and Finance to ensure quality and influence process change.
- Attribute deal value creation by revenue growth, margin improvement, multiple expansion, and debt paydown.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 years of experience in a Valuation or Business Modeling role at a leading consulting or private equity firm.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Advanced modeling of DCFs
- CFA (at least level 2), CPA, MBA, or Master's in Finance preferred.
- Intermediate understanding of income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and budgets.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including scenario analysis, what-ifs, v/h-lookups, arrays, and VBA macros.
- Capital IQ, PowerBI, iLEVEL / Chronograph and VBA skills preferred.
