The Organization
As a Christ-centered K–12 school, Ambleside Colorado fosters educational renewal based on Charlotte Mason’s philosophy and practice. Since 2010, we have served the Denver-metro community by providing a “living education” to students and families. We are excited to announce a new campus opening in Englewood, CO, which will operate alongside our established campus in Lone Tree, CO. The Englewood campus is committed to expanding access to Ambleside’s living education by offering a more accessible tuition model for families in the surrounding community.
The philosophy of education developed by British educator Charlotte Mason shapes our curriculum and method. Her focus on engaging children with the best of creation and her emphasis on habit-formation guide our students toward lives of purpose, character, and excellence.
The Position
Ambleside Colorado is seeking a Part-Time Bilingual Office Coordinator for our new Englewood campus. As the first point of contact for our community, the Office Coordinator plays a vital role in fostering a welcoming, peaceful, and orderly atmosphere. This individual must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish to serve and support our families and neighbors with warmth and precision.
The ideal candidate embodies a hospitable spirit, possesses strong organizational skills, and is committed to the mission of Christ-centered education. The Office Coordinator reports to the Englewood Campus Principal and partners closely with the school’s administrative team.
Spiritual & Relational Life
An Ambleside Office Coordinator is first and foremost a lover of Jesus Christ, children, and knowledge. The following are offered for the purpose of personal formation and self-reflection rather than as criteria for evaluation:
• Cultivates a personal love for God through a daily devotional practice and active participation in a local church community.
• Is quick to recognize responses that fall short of the character of Christ, and is quick to repent and pursue growth.
• Fosters a sense of belonging within the school community — inclusive, approachable, and hospitable to every family.
• Views every child as a person of immeasurable worth, never defining students by label or category.
• Gives and receives appropriate correction to and from peers and supervisors with humility.
Responsibilities
Hospitality & Communication
• Serves as the primary point of contact for the Englewood campus front office, welcoming students, parents, and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
• Bilingual Support: Provides written and verbal translation and interpretation for Spanish-speaking families so they are fully integrated into the school community.
• Answers phone calls and manages the front office email inbox, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
• Assists with student check-ins, tardies, and early dismissals, maintaining an orderly and peaceful flow in the lobby.
• Supports campus hospitality for school events — chapel, parent meetings, in-services — including nametags, room set-up, and light refreshments as needed.
Administrative Support
• Maintains a clean, organized, and clutter-free front office in alignment with the Charlotte Mason aesthetic of beauty and order.
• Assists school leadership with light administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, record-keeping, and preparing school mailings.
• Manages incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
• Maintains office supplies and assists in the upkeep of common areas.
• Helps maintain a current database of school contacts and supports the preparation and distribution of bulletins and parent communications.
Atmosphere, Professionalism & Safety
• Contributes to an air of peaceful diligence in the front office and communal areas, modeling the quiet, attentive presence that defines the Ambleside ethos.
• Strives for excellence while demonstrating humility and a servant’s heart.
• Ensures the safety of the campus by following visitor check-in protocols and adhering to school policies.
• Provides general first aid assistance as needed and supports the Principal in documenting emergency drills.
• Respects student and family confidentiality and exercises a high level of discretion.
Peacemaking & Culture
• Addresses conflict directly, respectfully, and in alignment with Biblical principles.
• Contributes to a culture of unity, assuming the best of others and speaking truth in love.
• Avoids gossip; expresses disagreements privately and constructively to leadership.
• Demonstrates a spirit of teamwork and partnership with faculty and administration.
Qualifications
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (required) — strong written and verbal fluency in both languages.
• Strong alignment with the Christian mission and philosophy of Ambleside Colorado.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; service-oriented, gracious, and enthusiastic.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a high-activity, relationally intensive environment.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and punctual.
• Proficiency in basic office software (email, Word or Google Docs, Excel or Google Sheets).
• Experience in a school, ministry, or customer-facing office setting is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education welcomed.
• Free and clear results on federal and state background checks.
• Introductory familiarity with Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy is welcomed; a willingness to engage with the essays “Three Instruments of Education” and “Children as Persons” is expected.
