The Organization:

All Demolition & Excavating is a hands-on demolition, excavation, and material recycling business based in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. We do the work that keeps projects moving — clearing sites, digging in, and getting jobs done right the first time. Known for showing up early, moving fast, and figuring things out in the field, our team has built a reputation on reliability, responsibility, and responsiveness, partnering with commercial, industrial, and residential clients who value quality and execution from start to finish.

We are a Saturn Five company, which means we are committed to excellence, profitability, and the long-term flourishing of our employees and communities. Saturn Five believes business is an adventure. They buy and operate "Main Street" companies with enduring profitability and a reputation for excellence, then roll up their sleeves to take companies like ours to the next level through professionalized operations and financial management. Unlike traditional private equity, Saturn Five is a long-term holder, committed to preserving the culture that makes us great. They define success not just by financial value, but by the ways they make life better for the people they serve, our employees, and the world.

The Position:

We’re hiring a General Manager to lead the full operation — field execution, financial performance, client relationships, and team development — as we scale into our next chapter. This is a hybrid role, with time spent in both the field and the office, staying close to the work while driving the broader business forward. This leader shows up early, knows how to hold a team accountable, and has the commercial instincts to grow a business. You'll work closely with ownership to shape the company's trajectory over the coming years, bridging the gap between high-level strategy and boots-on-the-ground execution.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, develop, and create accountability for the full team — PMs, Superintendents, and field crews.
  • Collaborate closely with the ownership team and align execution to company priorities.
  • Recruit and build out a leadership team as the business scales.
  • Set the tone for a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.

Operations & Project Delivery

  • Manage demolition and excavation projects from pre-construction through completion and accounting handoff.
  • Oversee crew scheduling, equipment dispatching, and job sequencing across the full portfolio.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to company SOPs and standards.
  • Coordinate between Superintendents, Project Managers, field crews, and the permitting APM.
  • Continuously improve operational processes, safety practices, and company infrastructure.

Estimating & Financial Management

  • Review, approve, and, where needed, prepare accurate project estimates from plans, scopes, and site conditions.
  • Manage change orders and pricing adjustments as project scopes evolve.
  • Own the company P&L — monitor job costs, margins, overhead, and overall financial health.
  • Partner with accounting to ensure work is tracked accurately and invoiced on time.
  • Identify underperforming areas and course-correct proactively.

Business Development & Client Relationships

  • Serve as the senior relationship holder for key accounts, ensuring strong retention and satisfaction.
  • Actively pursue new clients and work opportunities to grow beyond the existing base.
  • Represent the company in the market with professionalism and consistent follow-through.
  • Support the launch and development of new business lines as the company expands.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of strategic leadership experience in operations, project management, or general management.
  • Track record of managing multiple crews and projects simultaneously, ideally at $10M+ volume.
  • Strong financial acumen and P&L experience
  • High EQ with the ability to earn trust and build relationships with a diverse, blue-collar workforce.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Demolition, excavation, or heavy civil construction experience a plus.

Salary & Benefits:

  • $175-250k base
  • Bonus: Performance-based, tied to company profitability and growth
  • Profit-sharing potential
  • Medical & dental
  • Retirement: Company Savings Plan (10% YoY) with company match after 1 year
  • Company vehicle provided
  • PTO
