We are looking for a high-performing, fast-paced, growth-oriented National Sales Manager to own the sales strategy and operations for industrial products, services and growth trajectory. You will develop and broaden relationships with key clients, drive both revenue and profit growth, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide customers with differentiated advantages and meet market demands. This role will lead a geographically dispersed team and own their development for heightened sales effectiveness.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute high growth, winning sales strategies to drive both revenue and profitability expansion in the industrial market. 
  • Lead and inspire a team of sales professionals to exceed sales targets and increase market share. Develop their effectiveness, improve sales hygiene and foster a winning/growing/hunting ethos. 
  • Penetrate key customers more deeply to expand and grow business returning relationships and identify new business opportunities. 
  • Work closely and efficiently with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and finance, to develop pricing and promotional strategies. 
  • Drive CRM uptake and utilization – Microsoft Dynamics® preferred. 
  • Analyze industry trends and competitor behavior to identify opportunities for growth or potential threats. 
  • Negotiate contracts and deals with clients, aiming to maximize sales and profitability while addressing client needs. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any issues or complaints promptly and professionally. 

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent 
  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets 
  • Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales & marketing director with people leadership experience. 
  • Specialty tapes and/or adhesives background a plus. 
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level 
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close 
  • CRM (Dynamics preferred) experienced and believer in its value for improving sales effectiveness. 
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services 
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors 
  • Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions 
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
