Corporate Accounting Manager
Private Investment Office | San Francisco | Hybrid
A highly established private investment office supporting multiple ultra high net worth principals is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join its finance function.
The finance team supports a coordinated investment platform with layered entity structures and ongoing capital activity across multiple principals. This role sits at the center of accounting and financial operations across a diverse portfolio of investment and holding entities.
The environment is professional, collaborative, and discreet. The team operates with a lean structure, and this individual will take ownership of core accounting processes while partnering closely with internal leadership and external advisors.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting and reporting for a portfolio of investment and holding entities maintained on a tax-basis of accounting
- Coordinate and review work prepared by external accounting providers and administrators
- Manage monthly close activities including reconciliations, journal review, and preparation of financial reporting schedules
- Support investment operations through tracking of capital calls, contributions, distributions, and related activity
- Maintain ownership schedules and entity records across multiple structures
- Monitor cash activity, assist with liquidity planning, and approve routine payments
- Support onboarding of new investments and entity formations as needed
- Maintain organized documentation to support tax reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance
- Serve as liaison with external tax advisors, auditors, banking partners, and service providers
- Assist with entity wind-downs and closing processes as investments mature
- Contribute to process improvements and operational initiatives within the finance function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 7+ years of experience within investment management, private equity, family office, or partnership accounting environments
- Experience supporting multi-entity investment structures preferred
- Understanding of capital activity concepts including contributions, distributions, and investment tracking
- Experience working alongside outsourced accounting or fund administration teams
- Strong understanding of monthly close and financial reporting processes
- Advanced Excel proficiency and comfort navigating multiple reporting systems
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential financial information

- Base salary range $140-160K
