Our long-time client within the real estate industry is seeking a compliance-driven Senior Human Resources Generalist to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a fun, well-established group located in San Francisco. This is a hybrid role (4x/week in office) with free parking!
About the role and your impact:
HR Policies and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and company policies including on matters related to worker’s compensation, wage and hour, and quarterly reporting
- Stay up-to-date on labor laws, compliance requirements, and industry trends
- Ensure HR practices align with legal standards and make research- and data-driven recommendations for HR improvements
- Maintain HR data and generate reports for analysis
Employee Relations and Engagement
- Provide guidance and resolution regarding employee relations issues using a direct, friendly approach
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding
- Ensure employees’ completion of required trainings
- Support the performance appraisal process
- Assist with recruiting efforts as needed
Payroll Support
- Collaborate with payroll administrator and provide backup as needed
- Ensure employee information is accurately recorded in ADP
- Understand commission structure and calculation
- Additional duties as assigned
What you’ll bring:
- 4+ years of human resources experience
- HR certification (SHRM/PHR) strongly preferred (in-process okay)
- Multi-State HR experience preferred
- Strong understanding of HR compliance
- Prior payroll experience or understanding of payroll processes
- Proficiency with MS Office (including Excel)
