Position: Senior Cyber Security Engineer – Reverse Engineering Specialist

Location: Holmdel, NJ (Hybrid - 3 days on-site per week)

Compensation: Up to $165K Base Salary + Stock Options

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Engineer with expertise in reverse engineering to join our client's growing team. This role is part of the Machine Learning department and focuses on dissecting and analyzing malicious software to enhance our cutting-edge AI-driven security products. Job Responsibilities:


  • Conduct reverse engineering of malware, exploits, and other security threats.
  • Analyze and deconstruct executable files and software to uncover vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement security measures based on reverse engineering findings.
  • Enhance security architecture by adding robust features based on identified threats.
  • Work closely with the Machine Learning team to improve AI-driven security products.
  • Create detailed reports and documentation of reverse engineering processes and findings.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cyber security trends, attack vectors, and defense mechanisms.


Key Requirements:


  • Proven experience in reverse engineering and malware analysis.
  • Strong proficiency with C and Python programming languages.
  • Expertise in working with executable files and Windows OS internals, where most vulnerabilities and attacks occur.
  • Proficiency with reverse engineering tools, techniques, and low-level programming (e.g., assembly language).
  • In-depth understanding of computer architecture, operating system internals, and network protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a highly challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to accommodate time zone differences to collaborate with teams in the U.S. and Asia.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision in a matrixed organization.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of professional experience in cyber security or related fields.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in exploit development and vulnerability research.
  • Familiarity with modern attack vectors and defense mechanisms.
  • Experience with tools such as svn, git, Jira, and Confluence.
