Specification Account Manager

An established and growing specialist within the construction materials sector is seeking a driven Specification Account Manager to grow market share and turnover across the UK.
This is a commercially focused role centred around specification sales, contractor engagement and distributor development within the wood repair and refurbishment market.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Generating and securing specifications with housing associations, local authorities, architects and maintenance groups
- Developing relationships with merchants, distributors, joiners and contractors
- Creating and converting project opportunities via lead platforms and LinkedIn
- Delivering CPDs and supporting training initiatives
- Monitoring projects through to completion
- Managing your pipeline effectively through Salesforce CRM
- Collaborating internally to maximise turnover and market presence
You will have autonomy to create and deliver your own annual plan aligned to UK growth objectives.
About You
- Proven experience in specification or solution-led sales within construction
- Strong relationships with prescribing bodies (e.g. housing associations, architects)
- Confident presenter with experience delivering CPDs
- Comfortable engaging new prospects and developing long-term partnerships
- Organised, commercially aware and target driven
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
Knowledge of timber repair, wood restoration or building refurbishment products would be advantageous.
