For over 40 years, Comic Relief has entertained and inspired people to give generously to support those trying to get by in the face of poverty and injustice – being forced to make truly impossible choices, every single day. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried and enjoyed many memorable moments along the way.

At the heart of all our work is our vision of a just world, free from poverty and the promotion of a culture of generosity, fuelled through storytelling, entertainment, and our work with schools.

Our Trustees bring a diverse range of skills, experience, expertise, and passion, embodying the charity’s values and always coming together with a sense of humour and purpose. The Board works together to inspire generosity, break down barriers, and make meaningful change, whilst always making it personal.

Having recently appointed a new Chair, several Board Members, and two senior executives in newly-created roles, we are now looking for more Trustees to help to drive us forward, work with our wonderful partners, creating amazing opportunities and driving real change, with the aim of joining our Board in early 2026.

We are looking for one Trustee to bring strong senior experience of social change from an international perspective, such as international development, aid or grantmaking, and another Trustee with strong UK charity experience, such as poverty, social mobility, mental health or anti-racism. We would also value other skillsets, such as strategic finance, legal, people and culture, and technology, recognising that candidates may bring experience of more than one of the highlighted skill areas.
