Mechanical Engineer

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our customer’s team at their facility in Lakeland, FL As a member of the team, the selected candidate will be a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Lakeland, Florida. This role is focused on designing and engineering some of the most advanced, high-end race trailers in motorsports supporting professional drag racing organizations.

This is a hands-on, design-to-production role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, fabrication-driven environment.

This is a direct hire position for our customers with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within their organization. 

Duties:

• Design and model complete trailer systems using SolidWorks.
• Create detailed fabrication drawings for production.
• Engineer lift gate systems, structural frames, and trailer components.
• Design and route electrical plug-and-play systems.
• Integrate hydraulic systems into mechanical designs.
• Perform FEA structural analysis to validate designs.
• Collaborate with fabrication, wiring, and assembly teams to bring designs to life.
• Support continuous improvement of existing trailer platforms.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks.
• Experience creating manufacturing-ready models and drawings.
• Ability to work in a hands-on, fabrication-focused environment.

Preferred:

• Work on high-end, custom race trailers used by elite motorsports teams.
• 5+ years fabrication experience.
• 5+ years of SolidWorks FEA structural simulations experience, electrical wiring/routing of plug and play components and Hydraulics experience.
