Controls Technician
East Peoria, IL – Full Time
Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in East Peoria, IL. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a skilled Controls Technician with a broad technical background including PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, robotics, hardware selection and interfacing with a preferred 5+ years of experience. The successful candidate will possess a diverse set of skills and interests and will serve on multiple project teams.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Develop PLC and HMI SCADA programs using industry-standard programming languages to control machinery and processes.
- Establishing communications between devices.
- Interfacing with sensors and actuators.
- Interfacing with industrial and collaborative robots.
- Use of communication busses such as CAN, IO-Link , DH+, EtherNet/IP.
- Ability to find suitable replacements for obsolete hardware.
Requirements:
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Diverse interests and skill set, with an ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to handle onsite support.
- Familiarity with code compliance.
- Experience controlling hydraulic systems.
- Experience controlling mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of control theory, PID tuning, and stability analysis.
- Knowledge of a variety of feedback devices.
- Experience with a variety of controls hardware.
Preferred:
- AutoCAD Electrical.
- EPLAN experience.
- SolidWorks experience.
