REMOTE Contract to Hire SCCM/Intune Administrator, with immediate availability, who is capable of fully managing an entire environment.

Environment consists of approximately 2500 computers, and about 1000 each of iPhones and iPads.

 


  • The Admin primarily works within SCCM/Intune deploying applications, building hardware images, testing and releasing updates for both Microsoft products and other applications.
  • Must be a self-starter and capable of working independently with supervision, but also a team player who can collaborate of projects client is rolling out. Meaning if manager assigns task, you are able to research/test/resolve without manager checking in constantly.

 

Hourly Pay - $45/hr - $50/hr on W2 Contract

 

Position Overview

The SCCM/Intune Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the

company’s endpoint management infrastructure, including Microsoft System Center Configuration

Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune.


This role ensures consistent software deployment, patching,

compliance, and endpoint security across all devices in the organization.


The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with both on-premises SCCM and cloud-based

Intune environments, and understands how to operate effectively in hybrid and co-managed setups.


Key Responsibilities

Systems Management & Configuration

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot the SCCM infrastructure, including site servers, management

points, and distribution points.

• Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, configuration, compliance, and

application deployment.

• Oversee hybrid co-management between SCCM and Intune to ensure smooth integration and

workload transitions.

• Create, deploy, and manage Windows and third-party applications across devices.

• Build and manage operating system images and task sequences for Windows deployment (OSD).


Patch Management

• Manage monthly patch cycles using SCCM/WSUS and Intune update policies.

• Monitor and report compliance levels; identify and remediate non-compliant devices.

• Maintain security and feature update baselines for all Windows devices.

Device Security & Compliance

• Develop and enforce Intune compliance and configuration policies.

• Implement Conditional Access and endpoint protection baselines via Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

and Intune.

• Ensure device encryption, password, and security configurations align with corporate and regulatory

standards.


Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor client health, deployment success rates, and infrastructure performance using built-in and

custom SCCM reports.

• Troubleshoot application deployment, client communication, and policy issues across both SCCM and

Intune environments.

• Analyze logs and leverage tools such as CMPivot, Resource Explorer, and PowerShell to diagnose

and resolve endpoint issues.


Automation & Optimization

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.

• Review existing configurations to identify opportunities for modernization and migration to cloud

management.

• Provide input into endpoint management strategy, security policies, and lifecycle planning.


Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of experience administering SCCM (Current Branch) in a medium to large enterprise

environment.

• 2+ years of experience managing Microsoft Intune and Azure AD-based device management.

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 imaging, deployment, patching, and lifecycle management.

• Hands-on experience with co-management, Autopilot, and Endpoint Security profiles.

• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking fundamentals.

• Experience with scripting in PowerShell for automation and troubleshooting.

Must be a US Citizen as no sponsorship is available


Preferred

• Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator (MD-102) or related certification.

• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Conditional Access, and compliance reporting.

• Familiarity with Windows Autopatch, Windows Update for Business, and cloud-only management.

• Experience managing iOS and Android devices through Intune.

• May participate in on-call rotation for critical endpoint issues.
