Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting to lead key accounting functions and support the continued growth and scalability of the organization’s financial operations. This role will oversee critical areas of accounting, including financial reporting, technical accounting, operational accounting processes, and internal controls.


The Senior Manager of Accounting will partner closely with finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with applicable accounting standards, and the development of scalable processes to support business expansion. This position requires a strategic thinker who can also operate hands-on, driving execution while building and strengthening the broader accounting function.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee core accounting functions, including general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and other operational accounting processes.
  • Manage and review month-end, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Interpret and apply applicable accounting standards to complex or non-routine transactions.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting memos and documentation supporting accounting conclusions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Legal, Operations, and FP&A, to evaluate financial implications of contracts, transactions, and new initiatives.
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support external audit activities and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives as needed.
  • Support growth initiatives, including expansion into new markets, product offerings, or business lines.


Qualifications:

  • Several years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with complex transactions, technical accounting research, and policy development.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring accounting professionals.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and financial compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex accounting matters clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
