Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee and lead core HR functions across the organization. This role is responsible for driving talent strategy, employee engagement, workforce planning, compliance, and operational excellence within the Human Resources function.
The Human Resources Manager will partner closely with senior leadership to ensure HR programs and initiatives align with business objectives while fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture. This position requires a strategic thinker who can also execute tactically and serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full spectrum of human resources operations, including recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and policy administration.
- Evaluate and enhance HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Lead recruiting and hiring initiatives, including identifying staffing needs, developing job descriptions, and implementing effective talent acquisition strategies.
- Support employee development, retention, and engagement initiatives to strengthen organizational culture.
- Provide guidance and resolution on employee relations matters, including performance concerns and workplace conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Partner with leadership to assess staffing structures, organizational needs, and workforce trends.
- Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to support employee benefit programs and leave administration processes.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation, reporting, and internal records.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership regarding HR initiatives, workforce metrics, and organizational health.
- Assist with onboarding and integration efforts for new hires to ensure a smooth transition and strong employee experience.
- Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Several years of progressive experience in human resources roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and workforce management principles.
- Experience supporting professional or service-oriented organizations is a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective, practical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HRIS systems.
- Professional HR certification is a plus.
