If you're an experienced accounting professional looking for meaningful, flexible work in a small, collaborative environment, this opportunity offers the chance to make an immediate impact. We’re partnering with an Omaha-based company that’s looking to add a hands-on controller in a part-time capacity (20–25 hours/week). This tight-knit team is seeking someone to lead day-to-day accounting operations and build the processes and structure needed to support continued growth.

 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, payment follow-up, bank reconciliations, and accurate financial data entry across multiple entities using QuickBooks.
  • Developing and refining internal controls and accounting processes by identifying inefficiencies, implementing improvements, and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Supporting tax compliance and planning through research of accounting treatments, accurate classification of expenses, and coordination with external tax advisors.
  • Overseeing insurance and compliance tasks, including maintaining policy documentation and supporting renewals and updates across entities.
  • Providing general operational support by serving as the main point of contact for external accounting partners and assisting with ad hoc administrative and financial projects.
