The Business Development Representative Position
The Company is hiring for a Business Development Representative who thrives on opening doors, making connections, and creating new business opportunities from the ground up. This is not a farming role—it’s a high-energy, high-reward position focused on generating leads, initiating conversations, and closing deals with commercial clients across South East Michigan.
As the driving force behind the Company’s sales, you’ll play a key role in identifying new prospects, nurturing inbound leads, and converting opportunities into long-term client relationships. The key responsibilities of the Business Development Representative include, identifying, targeting, and engaging new commercial clients to grow the market share, building and managing a strong pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting and inbound lead nurturing, delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals that close deals, conducting market research to uncover trends and opportunities, and track and report on lead progress, pipeline health, and revenue results.
Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Business Development Representative Position
· Experience in Landscaping and Snow & Ice Management industry is strongly preferred
· Experience in the commercial facilities services industry is required
· Proven success in business development, outbound sales, or B2B lead generation
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with a persuasive edge
· Experience managing a sales funnel from prospecting through close
· Proficiency in CRM platforms like HubSpot and workflow tools like Aspire and Monday.com
· Quick decision-making skills and the ability to think on your feet
· Strong organizational habits and time management abilities
· A goal-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
· Willingness to travel locally for meetings and industry events
Compensation and Benefits for the Business Development Representative
The Company offers a competitive compensation package, including a range of $150,000 – $190,000 OTE including base salary and commission. This performance-based bonus model provides unlimited earning potential, rewarding top performers for their success in driving sales.
