Job Title: Senior Field Service Technician (Grade-A Physical Chemical License)

Location: Goose Creek South Carolina

Department: Field Services/Operations

Reports To: Field Service Manager

Job Summary: The Senior Field Service Technician with a Grade-A Physical Chemical License is responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing water treatment systems with a focus on physical and chemical processes. This role requires advanced technical skills, regulatory compliance expertise, and a commitment to customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and chemical water treatment systems and related equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and adjustments to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Diagnose issues and implement repairs or adjustments, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, compliance records, and service reports.
  • Conduct water quality testing and analysis, interpreting data to ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
  • Follow safety procedures when handling hazardous chemicals and ensure team adherence to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to address service issues, providing clear explanations and recommendations.
  • Train junior technicians on equipment maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • Grade-A Physical Chemical License required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of field service experience in water or wastewater treatment.
  • Proven knowledge of physical and chemical treatment processes, including coagulation, filtration, and disinfection.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and report writing.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Experience with SCADA systems and automated control equipment.
  • Knowledge of state and federal water quality regulations.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily field-based with occasional office work.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals and water treatment environments.
  • On-call availability for emergency maintenance.
