DESCRIPTION:
A rapidly growing, full service, high volume restaurant group based in Miami is seeking a talented Sous Chef for the upcoming opening of their first NYC location. The ideal candidate will have recent opening experience, an innate ability to stay organized and focused during high volume stretches, a knack for true kitchen management and a desire to learn and grow. The Sous Chef’s responsibilities will include monitoring sales and labor costs, assisting with scheduling, assisting with COG’s and labor management and overseeing ordering and inventory for the BOH. Experience with Mediterranean cuisine is a huge plus, but not required.
This person will be required to train for up to 2 months, pre-opening, at the existing properties in Miami at the expense of the company.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Have at least 2 years of high-volume Sous experience in a product driven environment
- Recent opening experience a huge plus!
- General oversight of our culinary vision, standard and operation
- Hire, train and develop a high performing, motivated and positive culinary team
- Demonstrate competency of business operations and financials
- Possess extensive ingredient knowledge and an understanding of culinary trends
- Proven track record of developing successful dishes
- Flexible and open availability is required
