We are a well-established ERP consulting firm focused on Acumatica solutions, working primarily with manufacturing and distribution companies. We are looking for a driven, self-motivated Business Development Representative to generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and early-stage engagement.
This is a high-activity, phone-first role focused on building pipeline — not closing deals. If you enjoy creating opportunities through persistence, outreach, and conversation, this role is built for that.
What this role is:
- A pure outbound Business Development Representative role focused on top-of-funnel activity
- A phone-first environment with a minimum expectation of 100 outbound dials per day
- Approximately 85% outbound prospecting, with email and LinkedIn supporting call efforts
- Focused on engaging manufacturing and distribution companies around Acumatica ERP
- Responsible for qualifying opportunities and scheduling introductory calls for Account Executives
- A role where you build your own pipeline — not one where leads are handed to you
Responsibilities:
- Prospect for new opportunities through high-volume outbound calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach
- Identify and engage target accounts within manufacturing and distribution industries
- Qualify prospects based on defined criteria including Authority, Need, Timeline, Budget awareness, and ERP evaluation intent
- Schedule introductory meetings between qualified prospects and Account Executives
- Maintain detailed and accurate activity tracking in HubSpot in real time
- Document all prospect interactions, qualification details, and notes for visibility and follow-up
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities
- Communicate regularly with sales leadership on activity levels and pipeline progress
- Assist in building target account lists and refining outreach messaging
- Participate in trade shows and industry events as needed
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Acumatica and its value within target industries
Performance Expectations:
- Minimum 100 outbound calls per day using the HubSpot calling tool
- Consistent daily activity across calls, emails, and outreach
- Generate a minimum of 12 qualified opportunities per month that meet defined criteria
- Maintain complete and accurate CRM activity tracking in real time
- Ensure all scheduled meetings are properly set with clear expectations for prospects
Requirements:
- Experience in outbound sales, business development, or inside sales with a strong focus on cold calling
- Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline through high-volume outbound activity
- Experience in ERP, SaaS, or selling into manufacturing and/or distribution environments preferred
- Familiarity with Acumatica or similar ERP solutions (NetSuite, Epicor, Infor, Dynamics, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with decision-makers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using CRM systems; HubSpot preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Teams as a primary communication platform
- Minimum BA or BS degree required
- Some travel required
