Essentra supplies low cost components used by manufacturing companies in their manufacturing process. Our primary target is B2B Manufacturers i.e. companies who build products used by other manufacturing companies.


The Erie facility employs a wide variety of methods to manufacture these components such as: injection molding, vinyl dip molding, die/flash cutting, laser engraving, and a variety of secondary assembly processes.





Summary


Essentra is hiring a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for the Dip Mold department. The hours for this role are 2:00pm-10:30pm, Monday-Friday. This role is responsible to direct and guide the Process Technicians and the dip molding operation to achieve the highest production level possible each day and maintain or improve the high-quality standards. This position will provide all required training for the department and control cost of supplies and monitor material inventory levels.



Typical Accountabilities:



• Monitor the department in terms of quality, safety and efficiency while maintaining work output schedules.

• Assist in the sampling of jobs or work on production issues that need attention.

• Direct overall dip molding production operations.

• Evaluate and document employee performance levels.

• Maintain housekeeping and safety throughout dip molding area.

• Oversee and direct the Dip Mold Technicians.

• Provide necessary training for all members with documentation records.

• Provide positive motivation to all team members.

• Fill in for operators during their breaks and lunch time.

• Work overtime when required.

• Perform related job duties as needed and instructed by supervisor.



Qualifications:


• At least 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing or similar setting.

• Experience with dip mold equipment is preferred but not required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience managing a workforce in a manufacturing environment.

• Intermediate computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to communicate effectively with their staff.

• A team player.

• Good decision making and listening skills.

• Well-motivated, self-starter.

• Quick learner.

• Quality conscious.

• Good delegation skills.

• Work safely in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to read and write in English

• Understanding of the construction of dip molding frames and tools preferred but not required.

• Forklift experience is desirable but not required.


What We Offer:


This position offers a competitive salary, bonus incentive, full benefits package, and paid time off. The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 plus bonus incentive.
