Summary:
Essentra Components is seeking a results-driven full-time Inside Sales Representative (ISR) in our Erie, PA location to support the execution of our inside sales strategy. This role is responsible for developing strong customer relationships, growing existing accounts, and identifying new sales opportunities. The ISR will collaborate closely with the Inside Sales Manager and General Manager to drive revenue and ensure customer satisfaction. This is an onsite role with the possibility for some hybrid work after the training period and with solid work performance.
Please note that we are currently only considering local candidates in the Erie, PA area.
Typical Accountabilities:
- Develop new business with existing customers and/or qualify new opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Manager to manage large projects and multi-step opportunities through CRM/Pipeline Report.
- Collaborate with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to ensure accurate and efficient order processing and product distribution.
- Prepare and report account status, results, and leads to the manager periodically.
- Apply product and industry knowledge to match solutions to client needs.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding products, applications, and industry trends.
- Provide quotes, credit terms, and bid specifications to clients.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry and shipment of orders and samples.
- Quote catalog items and simple non-stock items.
- Report weekly updates on new opportunities, wins, and losses within the territory.
- Maintain customer database by entering new accounts, updating existing ones, and adding relevant notes.
- Ensure daily execution of the Essentra Components service proposition.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of products and market trends.
- Participate in weekly team and cross-functional management meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or a related field (less than 1 year with Essentra).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Empathetic, patient, and customer-focused.
- Positive attitude and team player.
- Strong reasoning and analytical skills.
- High personal integrity and ethics.
- Hands-on, can-do attitude with a drive to accomplish tasks.
- Experience using CRM tools.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic understanding of products and applications.
- Basic math and order entry skills.
- Ability to work in an office or remote environment.
- Respond to customer inquiries within 2 hours.
- Make a minimum of 35 outbound calls, quotes, or samples daily.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and increase productivity.
- Demonstrate adaptability and a willingness to embrace change.
- Collaborate effectively with others and maintain a solution-oriented mindset.
