Funeral Director
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all elements of funeral services, including visitations, memorials, burials, and cremations, ensuring they align with the family's wishes and cultural traditions.
- Consult with families to arrange personalized funeral services, offering support and guidance throughout the planning process.
- Manage the preparation of the deceased, including dressing, casketing, and, if licensed, embalming.
- Ensure all necessary documentation, such as death certificates and permits, are accurately completed and filed in compliance with Ohio state regulations.
- Provide aftercare support to families, connecting them with grief resources and support services as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Funeral Director license.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in funeral service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide comfort and guidance to grieving families.
- Proficiency in funeral service-related software and basic office applications.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
