Software Engineer (AI Systems & Agentic Workflows)

Location: Los Angeles, CA (onsite 4 days a week)

We’re partnering with a venture-backed company at the intersection of influencer technology and AI, currently building out a next-generation platform powered by intelligent, autonomous systems. They are looking to bring on a Software Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a foundational role in shaping how AI is embedded into real-world products.

This is a highly hands-on opportunity where you’ll take ownership of building and scaling AI-driven systems from the ground up. You will contribute across architecture, development, and technical direction, working with modern tools and frameworks to bring advanced workflows into production.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Design and develop scalable systems across both backend services and user-facing applications
• Build and deploy end-to-end AI-driven workflows, with a focus on autonomous and agent-based systems
• Develop and maintain data pipelines that support high-growth product environments
• Integrate machine learning capabilities into core product functionality and backend services
• Contribute to infrastructure decisions and ensure systems are optimized for performance and scale

What We’re Looking For

• 2 to 5 years of experience in software engineering, ideally in backend or full-stack roles with strong ownership
• Proven ability to build and ship production-ready systems in a fast-moving environment
• Experience working within a scaling startup or during a period of rapid product or user growth
• Strong technical foundation across:
• Backend and scripting languages such as Node.js, TypeScript, and Python
• Frontend development (React or similar frameworks)
• Cloud and infrastructure (AWS or equivalent, Docker, Postgres, serverless environments)
• Hands-on experience delivering AI-powered solutions in production environments, including familiarity with tools such as LLM frameworks, vector databases, and retrieval-based architectures
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven design, and modern cloud patterns
• Comfortable balancing technical leadership with active coding, including regular contributions to development and code reviews

Preferred Background

• Experience in marketing technology, advertising platforms, social media ecosystems, or SaaS products
• Exposure to building automation or AI-enhanced backend systems at scale
• Familiarity with third-party platform integrations such as social media or content APIs
