Mobile Product Designer (UX/UI)

Location: Remote

Comp: $133K – $148K

Build something from zero. Not version 47.

We’re partnering with a global brand that’s quietly building a brand-new digital platform from the ground up. No legacy constraints. No inherited design debt.

They’re putting together a small, high-impact team and are looking for a Mobile Product Designer who wants real ownership over the iOS and Android experience.

If you’ve ever wanted to define how a product actually works instead of polishing what’s already there, this is that role.

What you’ll actually do

Own the mobile experience

You’ll take ideas from rough concepts all the way to production-ready designs. Flows, wireframes, polished UI, all of it.

You’ll design for both iOS and Android and know when to follow platform patterns and when to push them.

Prototype like it matters

Prototyping isn’t a checkbox here. It’s how decisions get made.

You’ll build interactive Figma prototypes to test flows, catch edge cases early, and get alignment before anything gets built.

Build the system, not just the screens

You’ll create and evolve a mobile design system from day one. Components, patterns, and the foundation the product will scale on.

This isn’t plugging into an existing system. You’re defining it.

Work directly with product + engineering

No layers. No throwing designs over the wall.

You’ll partner closely with engineers to make sure what ships matches the intent, and work with product to shape features, not just execute them.

Why designers actually like this role

  • You’re not maintaining someone else’s work
  • You influence product decisions, not just visuals
  • You reduce ambiguity through design, not react to it
  • You help define the system that everything else builds on

What they’re looking for

  • 5+ years designing digital products, with strong mobile experience
  • Deep Figma skills including prototyping, components, and systems
  • Strong understanding of iOS and Android patterns
  • A portfolio that shows both thinking and craft
  • Experience working closely with engineers through build, not just handoff
  • Experience creating or scaling design systems

Nice to have

  • Experience designing across both iOS and Android at the same time
  • Familiarity with React Native or mobile constraints
  • Background in consumer apps, ecomm, or health/wellness
  • Motion, interaction, or usability testing experience

Quick reality check

This is not a “make it look nice” role.

This is for someone who wants to:

  • define how a product behaves
  • influence decisions early
  • and build something that scales
