Job Title: Operations & Customer Experience Manager

Location: Central New Jersey, Monmouth County (Onsite)

Overview

A growing industrial organization is seeking an experienced Operations & Customer Experience Manager to oversee customer order execution and coordinate outsourced production activities with third-party manufacturing partners. This role sits at the intersection of customer engagement, commercial operations, and production planning. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience within industrial manufacturing, specialty materials, or distribution environments and thrives in a fast-moving, detail-oriented setting. Strong systems capability and analytical thinking are critical for success.


Core Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end customer order lifecycle, including order entry, inquiry resolution, issue escalation, and proactive communication.
  • Coordinate commercial production runs with external manufacturing partners, ensuring timelines, specifications, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Monitor batch production schedules and collaborate with partners to maintain quality and on-time performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, logistics, and commercial teams to drive operational alignment and efficiency.
  • Generate internal and customer-facing reporting on order status, production progress, and performance metrics.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within customer service workflows and production coordination activities.


Required Background & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customer operations, inside sales, order management, or production coordination within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Prior exposure to outsourced manufacturing, tolling, or commercial batch production environments preferred.
  • Technical degree or industry-specific education advantageous but not required with relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability in operational environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills required; familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
