District Partners is supporting a global professional membership organization within the financial services industry that is expanding its NetSuite engineering team and seeking a Lead NetSuite Developer.


This is a highly hands-on engineering role for a developer who also provides technical leadership within the team. The Lead NetSuite Developer is responsible for writing production NetSuite code while helping guide development standards, reviewing peer code, and partnering closely with the NetSuite Architect to translate architectural direction into delivered solutions.


The organization is continuing to modernize and scale its NetSuite environment to support a complex global business model. Current initiatives include modernization of legacy components, expansion of localization and multi-currency capabilities, continued evolution of development standards, and improvements to revenue automation across a global portfolio of products and services. The engineering team continues to strengthen structured development practices, including SDF-based development, GitHub-driven CI/CD, and formalized testing processes.


This role works closely with developers, QA, analysts, and finance stakeholders across multiple teams and requires someone who is collaborative, technically strong, and comfortable contributing at a high level while remaining deeply hands-on in the code.


Responsibilities

  • Write, design, and deliver production-grade NetSuite code
  • Remain highly hands-on with development as a core expectation of the role
  • Review code from other developers and provide standards-driven feedback
  • Partner with the NetSuite Architect to execute platform architecture and technical direction
  • Lead development workstreams across OTC, P2P, and ARM modules
  • Build and maintain SuiteScript 2.x customizations, including RESTlets, Suitelets, and integrations
  • Support NetSuite OneWorld environments, including multi-subsidiary and multi-currency operations
  • Support localization and multicurrency implementations across global NetSuite environments
  • Implement automated revenue recognition processes aligned with ASC606 and GAAP requirements
  • Develop and maintain unit testing standards using GitHub-based workflows
  • Monitor and manage script concurrency and performance across integrations and customizations
  • Contribute across the full SDLC including requirements, design, development, testing, and production support
  • Collaborate across developers, QA, analysts, and business stakeholders
  • Utilize AI tools where appropriate to accelerate development and engineering efficiency


Required Skills and Experience

  • Expert-level NetSuite development experience
  • Deep functional expertise with OTC, P2P, and ARM modules
  • Strong SuiteScript 2.x development experience including RESTlets, Suitelets, User Events, Scheduled Scripts, and Map/Reduce
  • Experience supporting NetSuite OneWorld environments including multi-subsidiary and multi-currency operations
  • Experience reviewing and guiding development work across a team
  • Experience partnering with Solutions Architects or senior technical leaders on platform design and implementation
  • Hands-on experience using SDF, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence within structured development workflows
  • Experience implementing and maintaining unit testing frameworks
  • Experience monitoring and optimizing concurrency within complex NetSuite deployments
  • Hands-on experience with localization, multicurrency, and item catalog structures
  • Strong understanding of ASC606 and GAAP revenue recognition processes within NetSuite ARM
  • Full SDLC experience from requirements through production support
  • Experience using AI tools within a professional development environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer certification preferred
  • Additional NetSuite certifications in development or revenue management are a plus
  • Must be a self-starter with strong initiative and ownership

Work Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET


Engagement Type:

  • Contract-to-Hire | 6–9+ months with strong intent to convert to full-time
