NetSuite Product Manager

Why You’ll Actually Care

District Partners is exclusively partnering with a globally scaled, multi-entity organization undergoing a critical transformation across its finance and product systems. The business has reached a point where growth, product complexity, and system customization have outpaced how revenue is tracked, recognized, and trusted. Today, revenue workflows exist, but they are fragmented across tools, teams, and manual interventions, creating risk at the executive level.

This role exists because that risk is now visible to leadership. Finance, product, and engineering are aligned that this must be fixed, but no single owner has stepped in to drive it end to end. If this is not solved, it directly impacts financial reporting accuracy, audit confidence, and executive decision-making.

You will step into that gap. There is no playbook here and no one to hand this off to. This is full ownership of a high-visibility problem that the business needs solved now.

The Basics

Location: U.S. based | Remote

Level: Mid to senior individual contributor

Focus: Revenue recognition across finance systems with strong product and BA ownership

Engagement: Contract with strong likelihood of extension or long-term alignment

What You’ll Be Owning

  • Take full ownership of revenue recognition workflows across systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability
  • Translate finance requirements into structured product artifacts including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Partner directly with accounting, engineering, and QA to drive delivery and ensure outcomes align to financial expectations
  • Analyze and resolve issues tied to revenue allocation, product configurations, and system behaviors
  • Lead refinement sessions, prioritize workstreams, and ensure development efforts stay aligned to business risk areas
  • Act as the single point of accountability for revenue-related decisions across ongoing projects and BAU support
  • Support automation efforts to reduce manual validation and improve operational efficiency
  • Represent revenue recognition in cross-functional initiatives to ensure it is properly accounted for in new product or system changes
  • Operate with full autonomy to diagnose issues, define solutions, and drive execution without relying on step-by-step direction
  • Take initiative in ambiguous situations, identifying gaps before they surface and proactively driving resolution

Environment

You are walking into a system that is functional but not optimized. Revenue recognition is supported by a customized ERP environment with multiple product lines, varied revenue rules, and ongoing enhancements. Documentation exists. Processes exist. What is missing is ownership, consistency, and confidence.

There is active executive visibility across finance and technology leadership. Work is moving quickly, but dependencies and gaps have created friction. This role sits at the center of that and is expected to bring structure, clarity, and forward momentum.

You are expected to come in, get up to speed quickly, and operate independently without constant oversight.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Strong experience with revenue recognition in ERP environments, ideally within NetSuite or similar platforms
  • Ability to operate across both product and business analysis functions without rigid role boundaries
  • Experience translating finance and accounting needs into system-driven solutions
  • Comfort working in partially defined environments where you are expected to figure things out
  • Proven ability to work directly with accounting stakeholders and build trust through delivery
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead conversations across technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience supporting or improving financial workflows tied to multi-product or multi-entity environments
  • Demonstrated ability to operate without structure, take initiative, and deliver outcomes without being managed day-to-day
  • A mindset oriented toward ownership, not task execution

A Few Things Worth Knowing

  • This is not a guided role. There is minimal hand-holding and a high expectation of independent ownership
  • You will be trusted to figure things out, make decisions, and drive outcomes without waiting for direction
  • This is a high-risk, high-visibility area for the business with direct exposure to executive leadership
  • The role requires someone who takes ownership immediately and does not wait for direction
  • There is flexibility in how this is structured, but not in the expectation of delivery
  • The environment rewards people who can simplify complexity and move quickly
  • If you prefer clearly defined lanes or narrowly scoped responsibilities, this will not be the right fit
  • If you want to step into something meaningful, own it, and fix it, this is exactly that opportunity
