Position Overview:
As Chief of Staff, you will act as the CEO’s strategic partner and serve as the operational backbone of the company. This is a critical role at a pivotal moment – they have recently launched an API integration with premium models, generated their first significant revenue, and are scaling rapidly from an open-source project to a commercial enterprise.
You will tackle the CEO’s biggest pain point: the overwhelming operational workload that currently limits their ability to focus on strategic priorities. While building operational infrastructure, you will also help shape their community strategy and business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence (Primary Focus)
- Design and implement internal processes for hiring, onboarding, project management, and team coordination
- Manage logistical aspects of partnerships, legal matters, and administrative tasks
- Create operational frameworks that bring structure without sacrificing their nimble culture
- Handle ad-hoc priorities as they arise, becoming a reliable catch-all for organizational needs
- Strategic Support
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, helping prioritize initiatives and allocate resources
- Translate the CEO’s vision into executable plans and ensure follow-through
- Coordinate cross-functional projects across engineering, product, marketing, and business development
- Analyze community feedback, usage data, and market trends to inform strategic decisions
- Business Development & Community
- Help develop and execute their go-to-market strategy for their SaaS and API offerings
- Support partnership conversations with potential enterprise clients and collaborators
- Connect with key stakeholders in the AI community and creative industries
- Contribute to community-building efforts across Discord, social media, and other platforms
Qualifications:
- Must-Have
- High-agency generalist mindset – comfortable taking ownership of ambiguous challenges
- Experience bringing operational structure to early-stage environments
- Track record of supporting founders or executives directly
- Strong communication skills – able to translate between technical and business contexts
- Comfort with startup intensity and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to roll up sleeves for tactical execution alongside strategic planning
