On behalf of our client, we are seeking a skilled Senior Infrastructure Administrator for a permanent position to manage and support the company’s data center and remote plant sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware in a Windows environment, ensuring the stability and efficiency of the company’s IT infrastructure.

Here is what you will do on a day to day basis:

• Manage and Maintain IT Infrastructure: Oversee the operation and maintenance of data centers
• and remote plant sites, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• VMware Administration: Install, configure, and manage VMware environments, including
• vCenter and vSphere. .
• Windows Server Management: Administer Windows Server environments, including Active
• Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Group Policies.
• Cloud: Manage applications, servers, and authentication in Microsoft Azure
• Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure
• data integrity and availability.
• Security Management: Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure by implementing and
• maintaining security policies, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for hardware and software
• issues, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and problems.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the IT infrastructure, including network
• diagrams, configuration settings, and standard operating procedures.
• Project Management: Lead and participate in IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time
• and within budget.

Here is the type of person we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on
• VMware, Windows, and Azure environments.
• Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE),
• or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of VMware, and related technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Entra ID, Intune and Azure Compute is nice to have
• Proficiency in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP,
• DFS and Group Policies.
• Knowledge of certificates for authentication and web servers
• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with other cloud-based infrastructure and services.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell).
• Experience with storage array, (disk, raid, volume, iscsi)
• Experience with Citrix and Veeam
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
• This position may require occasional travel to remote plant sites.
• On-call availability for emergency support

Salary range: $100-120k
