About the Job: The IT Specialist will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to ensure smooth operation of company systems. This role involves managing system administration, application support, process documentation, and user training. The IT Specialist will work with technologies such as Microsoft operating systems, Sage, and Salesforce while contributing to the company’s IT initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

Help Desk Support (Primary Focus):

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls using Active Directory and other tools.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure timely resolution of tickets.


System Administration & Maintenance:

  • Monitor and maintain IT systems, including servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
  • Perform updates, patches, and configuration changes for Microsoft-based systems, including Office 365.
  • Support and manage company hardware inventory, ensuring readiness and reliability of all devices.


Application & Software Management:

  • Provide technical support for Sage ERP and Salesforce CRM, troubleshooting issues and working with vendors as necessary.
  • Assist in the configuration, integration, and customization of software to meet organizational needs.
  • Document processes for critical business applications, ensuring clarity and accessibility for IT and end users.
  • Train employees on the effective use of Sage, Salesforce, and other critical business applications.


Project Support:

  • Contribute to IT projects such as software rollouts, system upgrades, and network enhancements.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement technology solutions that drive efficiency.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for workflow improvements.


Cybersecurity & Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect company data and systems.
  • Conduct periodic security training for staff and monitor for potential risks.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.



Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, with expertise in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network environments.
  • Experience providing support for business applications, including ERP (Sage preferred) and CRM (Salesforce preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred:

  • Experience with system administration, including managing backups and configuring user permissions.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols and best practices.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Salesforce Administrator.
  • Experience in process documentation and training development, particularly in IT systems and applications.



Job Status: Direct hire. Onsite in Arcade, NY

Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 salary
