Our client is seeking a visionary Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead our statewide development strategy and team. This is more than a fundraising role—it’s an opportunity to directly impact the lives of thousands of children and families across Florida.


Your Impact:

As our Chief Development Officer, you will:

  • Lead a high-performing development team and manage a $10M+ fundraising portfolio.
  • Design and execute capital campaigns, major donor strategies, and grant initiatives.
  • Cultivate and steward key relationships with donors, board members, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align development efforts with our client’s statewide vision and goals.
  • Strengthen brand presence across Florida through strategic outreach and storytelling.


What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee all development functions including annual giving, major gifts, foundation grants, and capital campaigns
  • Supervise and mentor a statewide team, fostering innovation and accountability
  • Build and manage a portfolio of 50–100 principal donors
  • Coordinate with finance and operations to ensure integrity in donor and grants management
  • Lead strategic planning around development goals in tandem with executive leadership


What You Bring:

  • Proven success in leading development strategy and managing multi-million-dollar fundraising goals
  • 10+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience; capital campaign experience strongly preferred
  • Experience managing teams and building a scalable infrastructure
  • A collaborative, mission-driven mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage diverse stakeholders with authenticity and purpose
